Q: How did this company come to be? What was the inspiration?
A: Rock Katnic is the person who started everything. He had been a part of the moving industry in New York City for about a decade during which he got to experience all possible scenarios and handle various responsibilities while working all positions throughout the years. This allowed him to spot and trace many loopholes and easily avoidable slip-ups, so around two years ago Perfect Moving was formed with the intention and goal to implement all those insights and raise the standard of moving services altogether.
Q: What sets you apart from other moving companies?
A: To begin with, in an industry known to be male-dominated and somewhat intimidating at first sight, we are one of the few (if not the only) women-operated moving companies! More than half of our office staff are women in leadership positions and we only see that number increasing in the future. We truly care about providing spotless moving experiences to all our clients through a thorough and extensive but simple process that insists on transparency.
This transparency starts from our internal communication between all the employees which then reflects consistency in the quality of the service we deliver. We take our name very seriously so we heavily rely on feedback and work hard to not only meet all our client’s expectations but surpass them and provide them with a seamless and stress-free move that we believe everyone deserves!
Q: What’s your mission?
A: Our mission is to facilitate seamless and stress-free moves with our client’s satisfaction as our core principle.
Q: In what ways has your company had to shift due to the pandemic? What measures are you taking to keep your clients safe?
A: As we are all aware by now, many people had to make last-minute changes to their entire lives, reconsidering housing and work, all under a very real and immediate health threat. Being recognized as an essential business brought a lot of responsibility to us and we had to make sure we are moving forward by fully owning up to it and do our best to at least make the moving process a thing our clients didn’t have to worry about.
We created a safety protocol that diligently follows all CDC guidelines. We also screen and test our employees daily before sending them out to work fully equipped with sanitizer and masks. Also, we made no-contact full-service moves with no-contact packing & unpacking possible for our clients and we have replaced all traditional on-site/in-home visits with online walkthroughs. We have been and remain committed to maintaining the health and safety of our employees, clients, and community, and are closely monitoring information related to COVID-19 daily.
Q: How do you ensure a stress-free experience for your clients?
A: The experience begins way before our clients reach out to us by first and foremost making sure all our employees are in line with our principles and standards as well as prepared with the most up-to-date information covering all the aspects of moving. This allows them to ask all the right questions in order to access and accommodate each client’s unique needs. This way, we can arrive prepared on the day of the move at the right time with the right truck and all the necessary supplies.
We accompany our clients through the entire process and listen closely to whatever needs to be addressed and adjusted accordingly before, during, and after they have settled in their new home. During all of this, transparency and consistency always hold the central position.
Q: Is there anything else I should know about the company?
A: All our staff is multilingual. Nine languages besides English are spoken in our office and among our teams, and this has contributed greatly to our company culture. We created a comfortable sense of community and inclusion and made it one of our priorities.
We take our name very seriously and have been committed to a 5-star service from the very beginning which allowed us to grow during the past three years without compromising on quality at all. After all, we are carrying the Mona Lisa!
