Rock Katnic

Author, Founder and President
Rock Katnic grew up in Podgorica, Montenegro, as Radojica Katnic, and came to New York in 2013. His first job in moving was as a helper on a crew. From there he learned the business one role at a time, leading teams, driving, dispatching, and finally managing the whole operation, before he started Perfect Moving & Storage in 2019. Today he runs a full-service moving operation across the greater New York area, local and long-distance, and his point of view comes straight from that daily work: he has seen how a move goes wrong when the small things are skipped, and he built the company to do them right. He writes about the parts of a move most companies gloss over, the walk-up nobody measured, the elevator that was never reserved, the specialty item that needed a real plan. Two commitments run through the company he built: be completely straight with every customer, and treat a crew drawn from nine different countries as family.
What they cover
How a move should be run in New York, written from the operator’s side: estimates and change orders, planning and moving day, buildings and access, long-distance and commercial moves, and the standards a customer can hold any mover to.
